Leila Morsy is a teacher and writer. She grew up in Paris and has a Masters in Teaching from Columbia University and a Masters and Doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has written about the effects of children's social and economic conditions and their cognitive, behavioral, and health outcomes, including the effects of mass incarceration, parents' non-standard work schedules, access to medical care, exposure to lead in blood, and parenting. She is writing a book about the history of racial segregation in American medicine and its contemporary consequences.
